- Versatile actor Anupam Kher has been appointed as Chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune and will succeed Gajendra Chauhan.
- Previously, he had held the post of chairman of the Censor Board and the National School of Drama.
- The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India
