- Union Agriculture Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar and Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha have virtually inaugurated Apple Festival.
- This is organized for the first time in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
- With an annual production of more than 2 million metric tonnes, apple from J&K contributes to 87% of the national production.
