- The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare recently announced that the area of summer crops has sharply increased by 21.58% as compared to 2020.
- The increase has almost doubled.
- Summer crops are also called Zaid crops.
- They are grown between March and June.
- The area under summer crops has increased to 12.75 hectares in 2021.
- It was 6.45 hectares in 2020.
