- Kacheguda in Telangana has earned the distinction of being the first energy-efficient 'A1 Category' railway station in India.
- The station, under the Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway, achieved 100 per cent Energy Efficiency.
- The historic Kacheguda Railway station has completed 100 years.
- This imposing structure was built in 1916 by the Nizams Guaranteed State Railway during the reign of Mir Osman Ali Khan, the seventh Nizam.
