- The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Pema Khandu was sworn-in as the 10th Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh.
- For the first time swearing-in ceremony was held in Itanagar’s landmark convention centre, named after his father Dorjee Khandu instead of Raj Bhavan.
