- 3rd ASEM Conference on ‘‘Global Ageing and Human Rights of Older Persons’’ was held at Seoul, South Korea.
- The Indian delegation was led by Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment. International Institutions including the United Nations, regional Institutions such as UNESCAP (UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific), UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe), European Union, ASEAN, GANHRI (Global Alliance for National Human Rights Institutions) and other International NGOs also attended this Conference.
- It was jointly organized by South Korea and National Human Rights Commission of Korea.
