- The astronomical observatory at the Langat Singh College, Bihar is now included in the UNESCO list of Important Endangered Heritage observatories of the world.
- This observatory was built in 1916 in the 123-year-old college.
- The observatory and planetarium functioned satisfactorily up to early 1970s.
- But it started declining gradually with the passage of time.
- At present, it is lying completely dysfunctional condition.
