- The Union Cabinet approved Ayush Health and Wellness Centre under Ayushman Bharat Mission.
- The centres will help to achieve Universal Health Coverage.
- The centres will also help in reducing out of pocket expenditure as it will operate on “self-care” model.
- It also aims to integrate with SDG 3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages) as that advised by NITI Aayog.
- The scheme is being implemented by the National Health Authority operating under Ministry of Health and Farmer Welfare.
