- The commemoration event of 76th anniversary of the formation of Azad Hind Government (Indian National Government - INA) held at Red Fort, Delhi.
- Netaji had formed the Azad Hind Government at Singapore on 21 October 1943.
- On August 14 of 1944, the Bahadur brigade of INA, led by Col Saukat Ali Malik, captured Moirang, a town in Manipur along the Indo-Myanmar border.
