- The Balakot strike was code named by Indian Air Force as “Operation Bandar”.
- The Indian Army had code-named its heightened operational alert and shoring up of defences along the border as “Operation Zafran".
- Indian Navy did not give any specific name to its deployment of warships and submarines in Arabian Sea as it was already involved in operation-ready exercise Tropex-2019.
