- Punjab government has issued the banning of the sale of 20 pesticides (insecticides) which are harmful to health of humans and environment with immediate effect.
- Monocrotophos, Tricholorofon, Benfuracarb are the one among twenty important harmful pesticides which have banned now by Punjab government.
- World Health Organisation categorised this pesticide as a harmful Class-I pesticides.
