Ban on pan masala

- Rajasthan became the third state in India to ban certain categories of pan masala containing magnesium carbonate, nicotine, tobacco, mineral oil and flavoured ‘supari’ under the Food Safety Act.
- Even the production, storage, distribution and sale of these products is banned.
- Earlier Maharashtra and Bihar banned the same.
