- Prime Minister dedicated the Main Battle Tank Arjun Mark 1A to the nation.
- The tank has been fully designed and developed by the DRDO in close coordination with the Indian Army.
- The tanks will be produced by the Ordnance Factory Board's Heavy Vehicles Factory of Avadi, Chennai.
