- The Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur has been ranked best in the country among large zoos.
- It is scoring 82% in a test on capacity and efficiency for conservation of species outside their natural habitat and for following best practices.
- Of the total six criteria, Vandalur zoo got 85% in three and in the remaining three, it got more than 75%.
