- Thanjavur Municipal Corporation has been selected for the Chief Minister's Award for the Best Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu for the year 2021.
- Ooty, Tiruchengode and Chinnamanur were selected for the first, second and third prize respectively as the best Municipalities.
- Kallakudy in Trichy, Melpattampakkam in Cuddalore, and Kottaiyur in Sivagangai were selected for the first, second and third prize respectively as the best Town panchayats.
