- IIT Madras Launches Bharat Cancer Genome Atlas (BCGA) is a First-of-Its-Kind Cancer Genome Database to Transform Cancer Research in India.
- It has a data on 960 whole exomes sequencing it has completed so far from tissue samples collected from 480 breast cancer patients.
- The database will be an invaluable resource to identify the cancer-specific bio markers in India, helping in early detection of breast cancers.
