- The Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) commissioned one of the biggest floating solar power plants in the Kerala state with a capacity of 452 KWh.
- It has been setup over two artificial lakes.
- The water from these artificial lakes is used for irrigating the lawns of the golf course.
- The Cochin Airport became the world’s first solar-powered airport in 2015.
