- Nauroji was the first Asian who was elected as a Member of Parliament in Britain in 1892.
- The Blue Plaque scheme is run by the English Heritage charity.
- It honours the historic significance of particular buildings across London.
- Nauroji often referred to as the “grand old man of India”.
- Nauroji made seven trips to England and spent over three decades of his long life in London.
- The Blue Plaque was erected at the homes of Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Gandhi, Sri Aurobindo, Jawaharlal Nehru, and BR Ambedkar among others.
