- Elon Musk’s Brain-Machine Interface start-up Neuralink has revealed its progress in creating a wireless implantable device that can read a person’s mind.
- Very small “threads (electrodes)” can be injected into the brain to detect the activity of neurons.
- The company aims to let a person with the implants, control a smartphone with “thought” and without any physical action
- Practical application includes developing a robotic arm, treatment for Parkinson’s disease.
