- The Business 20 (B20) inception meeting began in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
- It is being held as part of the G20.
- The meeting was headed by Mr Chandrasekaran, Head of TATA sons.
- The B20 India 2023 dialogue is taking place under the theme of ‘RAISE’.
- It is an acronym for Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustainable and Equitable Businesses.
- The meeting was attended by G20 Sherpa, business delegates, CEO, railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal, etc.
- For the first time, there will be a special task force for Africa in the meet.
- India’s G20 Sherpa is Amitabh Kant, chief executive officer of NITI Aayog.
- India is among the top five best performing nations in achieving climate targets, and is the only G20 country to get this place.
