- The European Union (EU) comprising of 27 members has joined the “Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) initiative” of India.
- CDRI is an international coalition of countries, United Nations (UN) agencies, private sectors, multilateral development banks and academic institutions.
- The initiative aims to promote the disaster-resilient infrastructure.
- The CDRI Initiative was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2019.
- The initiative was launched at the UN Climate Change Summit, held at Spain.
