Chakravat HADR Exercise

- Indian Navy conducted multi-agency humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) exercise named ‘Chakravat’ meaning ‘cyclone’ off the Kochi Coast.
- It was led by the Southern Naval Command at BTP Jetty of the Cochin Port with coordination of Kerala Government.
- Aim of the of exercise is to review response mechanism in the event of a cyclonic storm.
- In this exercise participation came from Indian Coast Guard, State Disaster Management Authority, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Coastal Police.
