- ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) was formed in India as a result of an act that was passed on July 1st, 1949.
- Chartered Accountant is an internationally acknowledged profession and is considered to be the first accountants to create the accounting body, and it was initially established in Scotland in 1854.
