  • Praggnanandhaa is the runner-up of the 2023 FIDE World Cup held at Kazakhstan.
  • It was Carlsen's first World Cup triumph, having won the World Championship five times.
  • Praggnanandhaa, thus, became the third youngest player after the Bobby Fischer and Carlsen to qualify for the Candidates tournament.
  • Praggnanandhaa became the youngest international master in history at age 10 in 2016.
  • He had earned the title of International Chess Federation master by age seven.
