China’s Chang’e-6 mission’s capsule returned by carrying the first soil samples collected from the far side of the Moon.
Thus, China became the first country to successfully bring rock and soil samples from the far side of the moon.
The probe landed in northern China in the Inner Mongolian region.
Earlier, countries like US and Russia (Soviet Union) collected samples from the moon's near side.
