Nearly 400 antiquities, including a Chola-era coin belonging to the period of King Raja Raja Chola, have been found in the second phase of the Vadakkupattu excavation.
It is located near Oragadam in Kancheepuram district.
The findings in the second phase include two coins that belong to the Chola period between the 9th and 10th century CE.
One of the coins was used during Raja Raja Chola's period.
