  • Nearly 400 antiquities, including a Chola-era coin belonging to the period of King Raja Raja Chola, have been found in the second phase of the Vadakkupattu excavation.
  • It is located near Oragadam in Kancheepuram district.
  • The findings in the second phase include two coins that belong to the Chola period between the 9th and 10th century CE.
  • One of the coins was used during Raja Raja Chola's period.
  • A copper bow, copper lid, glass beads and bangles also found here.
