The food safety regulatory body Food Safety and Standards Association of India (FSSAI) have directed the companies not to claim 100 per cent Fruit Juice on canned products.
All these juices contain the highest amount of water.
Adding a small amount of fruit juice or pulp does not make it 100 per cent juice.
If these fruit juices contain more than 15 grams of sugar per kg, then they will have to label their product as sweet juice.
