Madagascar joined the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).
It now becomes the 30th country to join the partnership.
CDRI was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech at the UN Climate Action Summit in September 2019.
CDRI is a partnership of national governments, UN agencies and programs, multilateral development banks and financing mechanisms, the private sector, and knowledge institutions.
It aims to promote the resilience of new and existing infrastructure systems to climate and disaster risks in support of sustainable development.
The CDRI Secretariat is based in New Delhi, India.
As of April 2022, 30 members, consisting of 23 national governments and 7 organizations have joined CDRI.
