Committee to review Television Rating System

- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is to set up a committee to review the existing guidelines of Television Rating Agencies.
- The committee has been formed with four members under the chairmanship of CEO of Prasar Bharti, Sashi Shekar Vempati.
- The other three members of the committee include
- Rajkumar Upadhyaya (Executive Director of C-Dot),
- Dr Shalabh, Professor of Statistics from IIT Kanpur and
- Professor Pulak Ghosh of Decision Sciences Centre for Public Policy.
- TRP is Television Rating Point.
- It is the data that shows how many people are watching a channel.
