- The Commonwealth Chess Championship 2018 were held at New Delhi, India from 25th June to 4th July 2018 organized by Delhi Chess Association.
- They were held in Open section, and from under 8 to under 20 for boys and girls.
- IM P. Karthikeyan of India was the surprising winner of the 2018 Commonwealth Chess Championship while Indian WGM and IM Tania Sachdev won the Commonwealth women's title.
- Shriyana Mallya, an 8-year-old chess prodigy from Mangaluru won the U-8 Girls' Commonwealth Chess Championship 2018.
