- Tamil Nadu government has released a new Compensation Scheme for Women Victims/Survivors of Sexual Assault/Other Crimes based on the Supreme Court Verdict.
- The Scheme was announced based on the Supreme Court verdict given in the Nipun Saxena v Union of India case.
- By this, persons related to the victim can get the compensation as per the report from State Legal Services Authority and District Legal Services Authority.
