- Nine serving state information commissioners of Karanataka have written a letter to the Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala against the State Chief Information Commissioner N C Srinivas.
- The letter flayed the commissioner for his reported misbehaviour and his incapacity as the chief information commissioner.
- Karnataka Information Commission is constituted by the State Government through a Gazette Notification.
- The Commission includes one State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC) and not more than 10 State Information Commissioners (SIC) who will be appointed by the Governor.
- The Right to Information Act, 2005 provides for the creation of State Information Commission at the State level.
