Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare – November 30

The Day aims to tribute to the victims of chemical warfare.
Also, it aims to reaffirm the commitment of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to the elimination of the threat of chemical weapons, thereby promoting the goals of peace, security, and multilateralism.
It is officially recognised by the United Nations and has been celebrated since 2005.
The “Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction” entered into force on 29 April 1997.
