- Karnataka has become the 1st state in the country to have two Belgian Malinois into the dog squad of its City Armed Reserve Police
- This particular breed is used by the police in other countries including the U.S.
- They have more Sniffing power than other breeds and hence used for bomb detection, contraband goods detection, and crime scene investigations.
