- Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman launched the Electronic Bill (e-Bill) processing system.
- It was launched on the occasion of the 46th Civil Accounts Day.
- E-bill system is part of the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and Digital India eco-system to bring in broader transparency and expedite the process of payments.
