- e-Visa on arrival facility has been introduced at Madurai International Airport.
- Madurai airport is the fourth airport in Tamil Nadu and 26th in the country to get such a facility.
- Earlier, the visitors had to go to the Indian high commission in their respective countries to get the work done.
- Visitors now can apply online, minimum of four days and a maximum of 120 days before the trip.
