- Niti Aayog’s principal advisor and former Finance Secretary Ratan Watal has been picked as its member-secretary.
- Members of the Council also includes
- Economist Surjit Bhalla,
- National Institute of Public Finance and Policy Director Rathin Roy
- Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research Prof Ashima Goyal
- The Economic Advisory Council (EAC)-PM is an independent body to give advice on economic and related issues to the Government of India, specifically to the Prime Minister.
