  • Scientists have confirmed nearly 100 new planets outside our solar system, bringing the total number of exoplanets found using NASA's K2 mission to almost 300.
  • They were discovered using research from National Space Institute  at the Technical University of Denmark.
  • Also in this research a star called HD 212657 has been found by Kepler.
  • HD 212657 is brightest star discovered by K2/ Kepler mission.
  • The Kepler spacecraft was launched in 2009 to hunt for exoplanets by NASA.
  • An exoplanet is a planet outside our solar system that orbits a star.
