IBM and the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory have revealed the world’s most powerful and smartest scientific supercomputer - Summit supercomputing machine.
Summit supercomputing machine can deliver a peak performance of 200 quadrillion calculations per second (that’s 200 followed by 15 zeros) using a standard measure used to rate supercomputers or 200 petaflops.
The speed of Summit is nearly twice the peak performance of China’s top-ranking Sunway TaihuLight
For the first time in five years, the world’s fastest computer is no longer in China
