- The FIBA Asia Cup, (formerly known as the FIBA Asia Championship) is the 29th continental basketball championship in Asia, which is started from August 8-20, 2017.
- It is an international basketball tournament which takes place every two years between men's national teams of Asia.
- This was the Asian qualifying tournament for the FIBA Basketball World Cup and the Olympic basketball tournament.
- Indian men’s team, led by Amjyot Singh Gill, is participating in the tournament
