- Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur became the first Certified ‘Har Ghar Jal’ district in the Country.
- This is the only district in the country, people from each of 254 villages in Burhanpur have declared their villages as ‘Har Ghar Jal’ through a resolution passed by Gram Sabhas.
- Jal Jeevan Mission was launched on August 15, 2019.
- Under this scheme, 55 litres of water per person is being provided to every rural household.
