- India’s veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami became the first female cricketer to take 200 ODI wickets.
- She achieved this feat when she bagged the wicket of South Africa opener Laura Wolvaardt during the 2nd one-day match at Kimberley.
- Interestingly, the first male cricketer to pick 200 ODI wickets, was also an Indian — the great Kapil Dev.
- She was also adjudged ICC Women Cricketer of the Year in 2007.
