PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi has been appointed to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Board as its first independent female director.
The independent director is appointed for a two-year term although she may be re-appointed for two further terms.
As per the rules of ICC regarding Appointment one can be in Chairman Position with the maximum of Six years.
The independent female director post was approved by the ICC Full Council in June 2017 as part of wide ranging constitutional change aimed at improving the global governance of the sport.
