- The Union minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the 1.2 km-long Keediyan-Gandiyal bridge on the Ravi river in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
- The first inter-state bridge links the secluded areas of Kathua district with Punjab.
