Indian Navy has received the first batch of Made in India ammunition for AK-630 guns, which is fitted on warships.
It has been done in 12 months, and all components are indigenous.
The Navy said that it was the first time that the naval services had placed an order on the Indian private industry to deliver complete gun ammunition.
It was carried out by an Indian Firm Economic Explosives Limited (EEL of Nagpur, Maharashtra), a subsidiary of Solar Industries India Limited.
