First Made in India Ammunition

- Indian Navy has received the first batch of Made in India ammunition for AK-630 guns, which is fitted on warships.
- It has been done in 12 months, and all components are indigenous.
- The Navy said that it was the first time that the naval services had placed an order on the Indian private industry to deliver complete gun ammunition.
- It was carried out by an Indian Firm Economic Explosives Limited (EEL of Nagpur, Maharashtra), a subsidiary of Solar Industries India Limited.
