First mid-air refueling of combat jet

- Indian Air Force has successfully carried out the first ever mid-air refueling of the indigenously developed Tejas light combat aircraft (LCA).
- Russian-built IL-78 MKI tanker transferred fuel to a Tejas MK I aircraft.
- This test involved dry linkup, meaning no fuel was actually transferred between IAF IL-78 tanker and Tejas fighter jet through its air-to-air refueling probe.
