- The first ever Pinaka rockets fully manufactured by the private sector company “Economic Explosives Ltd (EEL)” have been successfully test fired at Pokhran.
- These rockets have been manufactured on the lines of the transfer of technology (ToT) agreement between DRDO and private sector.
- The Pinaka is a home developed multi barrel rocket launcher system that is already in service with the Indian Army.
