- The Railways is aiming to introduce the country’s first semi-high speed freight train named the ‘Gati Shakti’ train by December 2022.
- The semi high-speed freight train can clock 160 km per hour.
- Presently plans are going to make 25 such trains at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.
