- Ministry of Shipping launched the maiden voyage under Green Freight Corridor-2.
- This newly launched service will connect Cochin with Beypore-Azhikkal in the initial phases while Kollam ports in Kerala in later phases.
- This will improve connectivity and synergies between major & non-major ports by promoting coastal trading.
