For customers who cannot afford to go out due to the curfew, Indian Postal Payments Bank (IPPB) has introduced Fund at Doorsteps with the help of Aadhar.
Under this one can withdraw up to 10000 rupees.
Under this one can withdraw money from any of the bank account which has been linked with Aadhar through Aadhar Enabled Payment System.
The customer has to place his or her finger on the biometric device with the postman to authenticate the identity
IPPB is a 100% government owned Public Sector Bank, operating with the Department of Posts under Ministry of Communications.
On 19 August 2015 India Post got licence to run a payments bank from Reserve Bank of India.
The pilot project of IPPB was inaugurated on 30 January 2017 at Raipur and Ranchi.
It rolled out the Aadhaar enabled payment system services in September 2019.
